Q1. Where did you get your first
tattoo and do you know by who?
A. My first
"real" tattoo was a birthday gift from my folks. When I
turned 17 I asked for a tattoo. They said no. I said I would get the
home-made one on my left forearm covered up. They said ok. It was all
over after that.
They took me to Pat Sinatra in Woodstock
because she was one of the best.
As soon as that needle hit my skin I was
hooked.
My parents are very conservative, by the
way, but also very, very cool people when confronted with the voice
of reason.
The little tribal on my left forearm was
my very first. It has an eye in the middle, also the start of a
running theme for me......
Q2. What was going through
your mind when you got your first tattoo?
A. "I can't believe my
parents let me get a TATTOO!"
(They signed for it, since I had a year to
go.)
Q3. Is there a meaning
behind your first tattoo and what is it if you care to share?
A. I have always been
fascinated by eye imagery. It's not something that can be easily
verbalized, which is why it is visual art and not an essay inked on my
tush.
Q4. What is your favorite
tattoo, where is it and why?
A. My back piece,
absolutely. It's my inside illustrated on my outside, art of my own
design, and a warning label to boot.
I'm a bit.........intense. :)
Q5. What advice can you
give people who are looking to get ink for the first time?
A. Make sure it's the right
thing. You'll know.
